Custom XT30 & XT30(2+2) harnesses
XT30 harnesses, built to your exact length.
Choose XT30 for power only, or XT30(2+2) for power plus two signal wires (CAN) in one plug. Then pick the length, wire gauge, how each end exits, and the wire colors. We solder, crimp, test, and ship it. From $17.

Built like the harnesses in our own robots
Acorn is the harness shop behind the Almond Axol dual-arm robot. Every order is built to the same drawing standard and parts as our production cables.
Connectors
XT30: the standard 2-pin power plug. XT30(2+2): 2 power + 2 signal pins, mates with the XT30(2+2) male headers on Damiao, MyActuator and similar actuators. Female plugs, gold-plated contacts.
Power wires
Red or black, 14, 16 or 18 AWG UL3135 silicone, 0.08 mm tinned strands. Soldered to the power pins, each joint sealed in 2:1 heat shrink.
Signal wires (XT30(2+2) only)
Green or yellow, 24 AWG UL3135 silicone (40/0.08 mm), crimped into the connector's signal sockets. Twisted at a ~12 mm lay by default.
Terminations
Each end independently straight or right angle. Right-angle ends bend 90° at the solder joint, up or down as seen from the wire side. End B can also be left unterminated for a pigtail: every wire stripped 6 mm and tinned.
Tolerance
±5 mm under 100 mm, ±15 mm up to 600 mm, ±20 mm to 1200 mm, ±25 mm beyond. Length is the wire only, measured from the back of one plug to the back of the other.
Testing
Every harness is 100% continuity and short tested (≤ 3 Ω, insulation ≥ 10 MΩ) before it ships.
Drawn in Almond Harness Studio
Every design you build here exports as a Harness Studio file, the same format we use for the cables inside the Almond Axol robot. Download your spec and drop it into Harness Studio to see the full manufacturing drawing, BOM, and wire list.
Assembled in the USA
Every Acorn harness is cut, soldered, crimped, and 100% tested by hand in the United States, to the same drawing standard as the cables inside the Almond Axol robot.

XT30 or XT30(2+2)?+
XT30 is the common 2-pin power plug for batteries, ESCs and power boards. XT30(2+2) carries power plus two signal wires (usually CAN) in one plug: it's what Damiao, MyActuator and similar CAN actuators use, and what we build for the Almond Axol arm. Match whatever male connector you're plugging into.
Which gauge should I pick?+
Use 14 AWG for long runs or motors that pull more than ~20 A continuous, 16 AWG for most robot joints, and 18 AWG where flexibility and bend radius matter most. The XT30 contacts are rated 30 A.
Which way does a right-angle end bend?+
Look at the plug from the back (the wire side) with the power pins on the left, as in the rear views under the preview. Right Angle ↑ bends the power wires 90° up, and Right Angle ↓ bends them 90° down. Both power wires always exit the same way.
How long does it take, and where do you ship?+
Lead time is 1 week: every order is built, tested, and shipped within 5 business days. Then pick US Ground (2–5 days), Two-Day, or Next Day at checkout; shipping is priced by your order's weight. We ship within the US only for now.
